Control Which Emails Your Team Members Receive (Providers)

Homeroom makes it easy to control which email notifications each team member receives. This helps ensure the right staff members stay informed—without everyone getting every email.

You can choose whether a team member receives:

  • All notifications
  • Specific notifications
  • No notifications

Where to update team email notifications

To update notification settings for a team member:

  1. Click Setup
  2. Open the Team tab
  3. Find the team member you want to update
  4. Click the pencil icon under the Notifications column

This will open the Notification settings window for that team member.

Notification settings options

When you open Notification settings, you’ll see three choices:

All notifications

Select this option if the team member should receive all emails from Homeroom.

Specific notifications

Select this option if you only want the team member to receive certain categories of emails.

Under Specific notifications, you can choose from:

  • Important

Notifications that can’t be missed — at least one team member needs to be subscribed.

  • Messages

Manually composed messages sent using the Message button in Homeroom.

  • Attendance

Attendance link sent in advance of the activities.

  • Billing & payment

Unpaid invoices and issues processing payment.

  • Activity reminders

Upcoming activity and no-activity day reminders.

  • Enrollment updates

New enrollments, new additions to the waitlist, student withdrawals, and updates on enrollment numbers.

  • Setup

Notifications related to setting up or scheduling an activity (for example, reminders to assign an instructor).

No notifications

Select this option if the team member should not receive any notifications.

⚠️ Important: If no one on your team is subscribed to notifications, Homeroom will display a warning so you don’t miss important updates.

Save your changes

After selecting the notification settings you want:

  1. Click OK to save
  2. Repeat for other team members as needed
