Understanding Provider Payments and Reports in Homeroom
1. How does Homeroom handle provider payments?
Homeroom has partnered with Stripe as our secure payment processor. All providers are required to create a Stripe account directly through their Homeroom provider dashboard and link a bank account to receive payments.
2. When will I receive my payment?
Provider payments are processed once enrollment closes for each activity. The funds are sent via Stripe to your connected bank account.
3. What if I’m teaching multiple activities or working with multiple schools?
If you’re involved in more than one activity or school:
- Your payments may be combined into a single payout (if the payout schedule aligns).
- Otherwise, payouts will be released separately as funds become available.
Note: Stripe does not categorize deposits by activity or school.
4. How can I track which payments are included in a Stripe deposit?
While Stripe doesn’t itemize payments by school or activity, Homeroom provides detailed payout reports in your account to help you reconcile your deposits.
5. Where can I find my payment report in Homeroom?
You can access the Homeroom payout report in your provider dashboard. The report can be:
- Broken down by activity (helpful for viewing all details per program), or
- Organized by transaction date (to reconcile deposits chronologically).
6. What details are included in the Homeroom report?
The report includes comprehensive information such as:
- Student name
- Activity and season
- Payment status (e.g., full payment, refund, partial refund, discount)
- Provider payout date (in the "Provider Payout Date" column)
- Payout amount (in the "Provider Payout Amount" column)
- Enrollment and transaction dates
- Deposit filters to match Stripe payout records
7. Can I download the report?
Yes! To download the report as a CSV file:
- Click the three-lined menu (≡) in the upper right-hand corner of the report view, near the "Deposits" menu.
- Select Download CSV.
This allows you to keep a record or perform additional sorting/filtering offline.
8. What should I do if I think a payment is missing or incorrect?
First, check your Homeroom report to review the provider payout date and amount. Then, compare it to your Stripe payout records.
