What does Homeroom send Families?
Below is an outline of the email notifications families will receive.
Before Activity Starts
- Welcome email - When families sign up for a Homeroom account. They will receive a welcome email from Homeroom.
- Items left in cart - If a family has left an activity in their cart without checking out, they will receive an email notification reminding them their cart is soon to expire.
- Confirmation and receipt - Families will receive an email with a copy of the receipt and a copy of the waiver (if applicable) of all purchased activities.
- Activity reminder - Before the activity starts, parents will receive a reminder letting them know that classes will begin soon. It will outline the dates and times of the activity
- Waitlist promotion - If a student is promoted, a family will receive email notification that they have been promoted off the waitlist. They are also told that have 24 hours to accept the invite into the activity.
- Invite to activity - When a student is invited to a class from either the organizer or provider, the family will receive an email with a link that will allow them to log into Homeroom and complete checkout.
- Removed from waitlist - If an organizer or provider has removed a student from the waitlist, families will receive a notification
- Withdrawal confirmation - If a family withdrawals from a class (during the open enrollment period) they will receive a confirmation of their withdrawal and refund.
During Activity
- No class day reminder - If there are any days listed in Homeroom as a no activity days on a season or activity, families will receive a notification before the day as a reminder.
- Course cancelled - If for any reason, you need to cancel an entire activity families will receive a confirmation email of that and letting them know when they should expect to receive a refund if applicable.
- Removed from course - If a student has been removed from a class, families will receive notification that the student was removed from the course.
- Refund issued - If at any point an organizer or provider issues a refund of any amount, the family will receive an email confirmation of the refund being issued.
- Pending usage charge reminder - On the 5th of each month families w/ pending usage charge receive an email for the previous moths attendance.
- Payment failure email - If a payment has failed, the family will receive an email each time the payment has failed with a reminder to update the payment method. This will continue until the payment has been completed or voided by the organizer.
- Subscription & usage payment confirmation - When a payment has been successful families will receive a copy of the receipt for any scheduled payments for an activity.
- Required registration question reminder - 30 days before the start of the activity, families will get a reminder for any required registration questions and will continue daily until the questions are answered or the completion of the activity/season.
Post Activity
- Request to leave review - At the completion of the activity, families will receive an email where they can rate the course our of 5 starts and leave a comment on how the course went overall.
- Reminder to leave a review - If they have not completed the review, they will receive one more additional email requesting a review.
